There is no cut in Kahoot

Introduction

Kahoot, pronounced close to cahoot, is derived from an American slang word meaning cooperation and win-win. This homophone also, to a certain extent, signifies the core spirit of Kahoot, an online interactive platform. Currently, there are enormously publicly released Kahoot questionnaires on Kahoot!, and these questionnaires and tests can be directly used by teachers in classroom teaching.

Kahoot! is a game-based assessment platform that teachers can use to conduct multiple assessments online to enhance the interactivity and fun of classroom teaching.

How to use it

When preparing lessons before class, teachers can create tests, discussions, questionnaires, etc. on the Kahoot platform. When teachers edit test questions, they can use vivid and interesting pictures and background sounds to enhance interactivity and appeal.

Enter Kahoot!  Teachers need to invite students to enter the quiz code, and then enter the pre-set Kahoot quiz system.

The content of the questions and options will only appear on the big screen, and only the color of each option will be displayed on the students' own electronic devices.

Students need to compare the questions and options on the big screen and choose the correct answer on their electronic device.  Every time a question is completed, the system will provide instant feedback, including how many students participated in the question, the correct rate of the class, the student's ranking and score, etc.

The pros

For students, in the process of teaching and testing, it is just like playing games, which is not only interesting but also can achieve the purpose of testing. Teachers can instantly understand student participation, completion speed, and accuracy. Depending on the mode of the quiz site, awards can be given to individuals and groups that perform best. Teachers can see relevant data to better guide students academically.

The cons

This kind of quiz can only ask students questions with correct answers to test their memory of knowledge but not to train their critical thinking skills.

 Any more info

In fact, when we show the simple quiz we made in the class, we didn't realize they can only see the color of the answers on their mobile phone. So make sure there is a big screen to let them see the answers, and if they are long, make sure they have enough time to finish the sentences.
